2023 All things new.

Posted on February 21, 2023 at 7:30 PM

Well it is now Feb 2023 and i can finally get back into my website.... altho terrified i might lose the entire thing as i try to navigate a new program.

On the home front all is well, Bob is doing well,  and finally after a long 5 years, we will be heading back to Africa later this year. :D                           2021 gave us a awesome trip in Australias outback as we made our way to our sons place in Queensland via Innaminka, and then later over to Eyre Peninsular.

In 2022, Nathan and Ina moved to Yeppoon, so that meant another 3 month road trip, this time via South Australia outback, then up to Gulf of Carpentaria, cross the Savannah Highway at top of Aust, finally ending up iin Cape Tribulation before heading back down to visit family, after which we headed down to Newcastle to finally 'meet'  Bobs race horse,  Wrathful. Ever hopeful!!!!

We have continued to open our house to the public each summer season which has expanded each season as it simply gathers momentum.  From doing nothing more than selling my photos originally, now we have become a coffee shop open each weekend, host groups and clubs for devonshire teas during the week,  get ask to do guest-speaking roles and now also night time dinners when booked.  Hard to imagine that all this would happen.

Our trip to Africa will involve 3 nights in Dubai this time, as our dear friend Mutzi, (our tour guide from Egypt in 2011) is looking after us and showing us around Dubai as he is now based there as a Emirates Hostie. From there Mutzi is coming back to Kenya with us to visit the family and catch a couple of safaris.  We will only be in Kenya a couple of weeks this time, mainly to visit family & friends, and our main safaris will be in South Africa for 4 weeks,  mainly due to the fact that Southern Africa is MUCH cheaper to stay & safari,  than its  eastern counterparts.

So, i am leaving it here as a quick update to see if i can still get my website edited, and what i can do with it now. Lots to learn. wish me luck
